Jennifer Strailey, PR Director

Jennifer has been writing about food and wine professionally for more than 15 years, and eating and drinking for even longer. In high school, she turned down a plum position at the food court in her local mall, taking a job as a dishwasher in a five-star restaurant instead (better employee meals). While pursuing an English degree in college, she waited tables and began learning about wine. After graduation, she went to work for the California Wine Institute. Later, she traveled the world writing extensively about the specialty food and kitchenware industries as an editor for a leading trade publication. Most recently, she has worked in PR and marketing for wineries and specialty food companies, both nationally and internationally.

More about Jennifer…

What’s your coolest possession?
I have a fully stocked wine fridge, which isn’t particularly cool on its own, but I keep it in my office.

Something you do that makes you feel like a complete dork?
I have not one, but two Miley Cyrus songs on my iPod. I only listen to them when I work out, but I’m so very ashamed.

The most-listened to song on your iPod:
Hannah Montana’s “Best of Both Worlds.” –Just kidding! “The Fan,” Kings of Leon.

Favorite outfit in the 7th grade:
Purple OshKosh B’Gosh overalls with a matching green and purple striped shirt.

Your most memorable meal?
A five-course meal of pasta in Perugia, Italy.

Greatest food temptation (besides crackers)?

Pasta, pasta, pasta.
